In southern New Mexico, perched more than 8,000 feet above sea level is a small town in the Sacramento Mountains. This idyllic mountain community is a respite from the surrounding desert that makes up most of New Mexico and the Southwest region of the United States. In the 1890s, scouts for the El Paso Railway named this area Cloudcroft - a pasture for the clouds.

It is my hope that this piece captures the meandering roads that ascend the mountain, the tranquil pine forest, and the breathtaking vistas afforded by the elevated vantage point.
